Description

A deeper, richer gold: antique gold shimmer over a fine black cotton base that keeps this tissue saree light on you, with little hearts embroidered all over in black thread. Small black tassels add a playful finish. Made for festive evenings, family functions and the days you want to feel dressed up without feeling overdressed.

Fabric & design

Cotton tissue with imitation zari in antique gold, paired with black cotton thread for a deeper tone. The fine cotton base keeps it light, and the weave is tighter than our earlier version, so the zari sits evenly. The imitation zari gives all the shimmer at an affordable price.
Heart embroidery in black thread all over the saree, finished with small black tassels.

Size & what's included

Saree: 5.5 m long, 1.19 m wide.
Blouse piece: 1 m, attached to the saree.

Care it needs

It's best to dry clean to preserve its delicate structure and sheen. If washing at home, use cold water with a gentle hand wash or delicate cycle, and avoid wringing or twisting. Lay flat to dry and iron on a low setting with a cloth between the iron and the fabric to prevent damage.

How it's made

Made in West Bengal by weavers and women workers, each lending a hand at their own step. The weavers bring the saree to life on the loom, the hearts are embroidered all over in black thread, and our own small black tassels are made by hand and tied on with care. Every saree is checked by hand, twice, before it comes to you.
